Manage Events & Food Trucks

This site is static, so there's no live database behind it. Changes you make here are saved to a draft in this browser only. When you're ready to publish, click Download events.json below and replace data/events.json in the site files, then redeploy.

📋 How to publish your changes

Click Download events.json above. What you get depends on whether you added photos:

A · Text changes only → an events.json file

  1. Drop it into C:\Users\thoma\OneDrive\Desktop\Website\data\, replacing the old one (Replace when asked). Keep the filename exactly events.json — rename it if your browser saved events (1).json.

B · You uploaded a photo → a whistle-hop-events-update.zip file

  1. Right-click the zip → Extract All → pick your …\Website folder → Extract. Choose Replace if asked.
  2. That drops the updated events.json into data\ and your photos into images\events\ automatically — no separate image handling.

Then, either way:

  1. Open GitHub Desktop → note like "Update events" → Commit to main → Push origin.
  2. Live in about 20 seconds.

After pushing, come back here and click Discard Draft & Reload Published so this page picks up the published version.

Add a link with [text](https://example.com) — or just paste a full URL. Links open in a new tab on the calendar.

Pick a photo from your device — it's automatically resized for the web, and travels inside events.json (no separate image files to manage).
